A Data-Driven Drop-in Midsole Design
To build a form-fitting drop-in midsole that fits the majority of customers right out of the box, we needed data, and lots of it.
We partnered with podiatrists to create the patented Contoura® drop-in midsole shape based on a database of 120,000 3D foot scans. This data helped us build smart features into the core design, like dynamic arch support and deep heel cupping, often found in custom orthotics.
We fine-tune Contoura® drop-in midsoles for each footwear application through ProvenComfort® testing, adding data-driven comfort and support to your shoe. And with dual density foam possibilities, Contoura® drop-in midsoles can deliver the benefits of a full shoe cushioning stack, all in one component.

Dynamic Arch Support
Disperses plantar pressure more evenly across the underfoot than a flat insole, delivering foam benefits through a full range of foot motion.
Deep Heel Cup
Increases surface contact and sensory feedback in the heel compared to a flat insole, providing a more stable, locked-in feeling with each step.

Smart, engineered cushioning with durable shock absorption and high plant-based content options. Best for use with Contoura® drop-in midsole base layers.
EcoComfort® Open Cell PU
Breathable, lightweight cushioning for instant in-shoe comfort. Available as a dual-density top layer for Contoura® drop-in midsoles.
Pulsion® High Rebound
High energy return formulas for athletic performance. Usable as either a base layer or dual-density top layer for Contoura® drop-in midsoles.
